Under the federal Lifeline program, qualified customers can receive one discount per household of $9.25 on their monthly telecommunications service. This Lifeline discount can only be received from one provider.
Customers may qualify if they have a gross household income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, OR through participation in a qualifying program, such as
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
- Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit
